Silver Flake Long Glass (Michinoku Blue Color)

This series features a core steel of HAP40 conveniently clad in stainless steel. HAP40 is a semi-stainless high speed powder steel. It is a relatively durable steel with excellent edge retention, and this version has a heat treatment in the ~64 HRC range. This knife will take a very acute edge and hold it for a very long time, but will be slightly more on the brittle side of things due to how thin it is.  HAP40 is not fully stainless steel, attention should be given to oxidation and patina development, and should always be stored clean and dry, as it can rust. They come with ho wood octagon handles and matching saya.
