 This type of vegetable cutter is commonly used in traditional Japanese kitchens to aid chefs in easily cutting out shapes of foods relating to seasonality. This set includes six similarly sized cutters, with a diameter of roughly 27 mm (plus or minus a little bit depending on size). These are often used with carrots, cucumber, various kinds of potatoes, etc. The shape of these allows for easy food release and the cutting action is pretty smooth. These are stainless steel, but because the walls are relatively thin, be careful about how you apply pressure against the sides. Putting things on top of them cause them to deform.   While this kind of cutting can also be done by hand, items like this make it a lot faster and easier.
