This is a smaller stone holder than the stone holder we offer with a base. It has a lower lip, and therefore is useful for thin stones and stones that have been worn down over time. It clamps stones from the sides as opposed to the top and bottom ends, so it can fit very long stones, but very wide stones are a bit hard to fit.
