The Benriner Mandoline is used to cut fruits and vegetables. A mandoline can be adjusted to make even and precise cuts consistantly by running your produce across the board and over the blade. It comes with a straight blade and three comb blades for shredding. The unit is easy to break down into parts for thorough cleaning. The flat blade is possible to resharpen on whetstones. The purple handguard can be used to protect your hands when your food items get too small to handle safely.
