The Gesshin 250mm Bread Knife is an excellent choice for cutting a wide range of breads. The blade is nice and thin and aggressively serrated to work well with everything from soft milk breads to hard, crusty Italian breads. The thinness is great for moving through bread easily without creating too many crumbs and compressing or squishing the doughy middle. There is no need for excessive pressure when using this knife which may cause the blade to flex, leading to uneven cuts. The blade is made of AUS-8 stainless steel and as such, will be tough, durable, and resistant to chipping. The handle is comfortable, lightweight, and pragmatic.
