Zakuri 165mm Blue #1 Kurouchi Nakiri

  • The Zakuri 165mm Blue #1 Nakiri is a great example of what a nakiri should be like. Light and thin, with a comfortable handle. Blue #1 is a great steel for knives. It has a very high carbon content, great ability to get sharp, and very good edge retention. Not too many knife makers use Blue #1 because it can be difficult to forge. The 165mm length is a good size nakiri for both home cooks and pros alike. This knife has a kurouchi finish and is not stainless, so it will patina with use. If not cared for properly, it may rust.
