Every so often, we come across something truly exceptional. This Honyaki Sakimaru Takobiki was forged by Yoshikazu Ikeda and sharpened by Igarashi-san, a skilled sharpener from Sakai known for his meticulous work on high-end blades. Trained under respected craftsmen, he now leads his own workshop and continues to refine his craft. The knife features a mirror polish on both sides, a Mt. Fuji–shaped hamon, a crescent moon on the ura, and a full moon on the front. The handle and saya are made from Japanese ash with black persimmon accents.
