Gengetsu

Gengetsu is an exclusive line custom made for Japanese Knife Imports.  It began with our desire to make some amazing stainless clad white #2 knives and grew from there.  These knifes are handmade according to our design and are designed to be great all-around knives… not super thin, but very thin behind the edge.  They have great distal taper, a profile I really enjoy, and the heat treatment of the two steels is hard, but not chippy.  The semi-stainless is very tough and has great edge retention and corrosion resistance while still being easy to sharpen.  The white #2 has better edge retention than many other white #2 steels I have tried.  They all come with burnt chestnut handles and ho wood sayas.  We will continue to develop this line more in the future.
